From City to Countryside: Move, Wander, Restore
A Two-Part Wellness Retreat in
Southern France for Women 50+
There is a certain rhythm to Southern France—unhurried, grounded, and quietly life-giving. This is an invitation to step into that rhythm and savor each moment.
From City to Countryside: Move, Wander, Restore is a thoughtfully paced wellness retreat created for women 50+ who want to explore, move, and unwind—without pressure, performance, or exhaustion. We begin with two vibrant days in Toulouse, where movement is woven naturally into daily life through walking, sightseeing, and gentle mobility. From there, we transition to the peaceful countryside and the welcoming calm of the authentic French villa where days soften and time feels abundant.
Throughout the retreat, movement is supportive rather than demanding - Pilates and bodyweight exercises designed to help you feel steady, capable, and at ease in your body. Scenic walks, hikes and curated outings invite you to wander, while coaching circles offer space for reflection, connection, and grounded conversation.
This is not a fitness retreat.
It is a holiday retreat designed for women who want to feel good—physically, mentally, and emotionally—while experiencing France in a way that feels spacious, intentional, and deeply nourishing.
Our Arrival in La Ville Rose - The Pink City
We begin in Toulouse, a city known for its rose-hued architecture, walkable streets, and relaxed southern French rhythm. These first two days are about arrival and awakening—gently easing into the retreat through exploration rather than exertion.
Mornings include light, accessible movement to loosen travel stiffness and prepare the body for the day ahead. From there, we wander the city on foot—strolling along the Garonne River, discovering historic neighborhoods, pausing for a café break, and taking in the texture of daily life in Southern France. This is movement as part of living, not a workout.
Toulouse sets the tone: curious, social, and alive—an invitation to reconnect with your sense of adventure before the pace softens.
Wander into our Beautiful Hamlet for the Week...
From the city, we transition to the quiet beauty of the Southwestern French countryside and the welcoming calm of our villa, dating back a few centuries. Here, the days naturally slow. Time stretches. Nervous systems settle.
You will greet the morning with Pilates or gentle bodyweight movement designed to support strength, balance, and ease—always adaptable. Afternoons are for savoring the sweetness of the countryside: thoughtfully curated outings, wandering scenic trails, swimming under the blue skies, melting into the sauna’s warmth, losing yourself in a novel while swaying in the hammock, or simply basking in the picturesque beauty that surrounds you. You will have a chance to take a step back in time and embrace a dose of history as you walk on charming cobblestone streets in a nearby medieval village.
Coaching circles offer space for honest conversation and reflection—grounded, practical, and supportive. This is not about fixing yourself or striving for transformation. It’s about reconnecting with what already supports you, your strengths that lead the way and letting go of what no longer needs your energy.
The countryside portion of the retreat is restorative by design. You’ll leave feeling nourished rather than depleted, grounded rather than overstimulated.
Rooms are double occupancy, so come with a friend or choose to be matched with a like-hearted roommate. Each room features two beds, a spacious bathroom and a chic style of timeless French decor - think rustic elegance with endless charm.
Nourishment Flowing with French Culinary Artistry
The flavors of the French cuisine will arouse your taste buds. Together, we will enjoy a lovely breakfast both mornings and venture out for dinners in the "pink city" of Toulouse. As we wander into the French countryside, decadent fresh and unforgettable meals including breakfast, lunch, and dinner will awaken you to fresh French inspired masterpieces . Each dish thoughtfully paired with wines so abundant and flowing that your glass will never have a chance to be lonely. There will be plenty of delicious pleasure for all.

Lori

After turning my own life around from childhood trauma, body image issues, an eating disorder and PTSD, I knew that all these challenges were put on my path for a reason. I credit that time in my life for helping me to become who I am today. It was a blessing in disguise and I even felt at that time…that somehow, and in some incredible way, I would use my hardships and what I learned, the constant step forward, step back, to help others on their journeys. Those tools and skills that I gained thru the years and continue to gain, (yes, I’m still a work in progress) help me to pass on inspiration and healing. Hence, my purpose here on this earth…to help you grow, see the light, begin to trust your intuition and nourish your own soul.
For the past 27 years, I have been motivating and inspiring others to lead healthier lives thru fitness, mindset and wellness coaching. The retreats that I’ve led abroad include: Costa Rica, Bali, Indonesia, Algarve region of Portugal, Lake Como, Italy. Now, I’m excited to lead you on this wonderful journey to Greece.
Passport 2 Wellness retreats encompass a deeper and larger aspect of wellbeing for those ready to step outside their comfort zone. Combining my love for travel and my joy of guiding others to take back their health, these retreats bring love, laughter and joy to those who participate.
Little Known facts about me: I’ve thrown myself out of a perfectly good plane, landed on a glacier in New Zealand, ran a marathon in Alaska, did dog-sledding in Norway and owned a candy shop.
Some of my favorite things: travel, learning about other cultures, working out, being in nature, hiking, walking, listening to music, my Greater Swiss Mountain Dog - Fiona, a nice cup of homemade hot chocolate, dark chocolate!
